Raising A Reader MA Empowering families to provide their children an equal opportunity for school success by engaging in daily book sharing from birth - 5 in targeted communities throughout MA. Every child is born ready to learn. 
Raising A Reader was brought to Massachusetts in Spring 2006 by the GreenLight Fund- an organization that identifies ground-breaking, innovative, and results-oriented nonprofits in cities around the country and brings those programs to Boston. Launched in Chelsea, Raising A Reader Massachusetts (RAR MA) now has over 23,184 children’s books in circulation and reaches just under 6,000 young children ages 0-5 and their and families in the Greater Boston area, the City of Boston, and Lawrence.
